It’s been a very busy start to 2021, and we’ve got some incredibly exciting projects lined up over the next couple of months. We’re pleased to have secured multiple construction projects around Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and Cheshire, a combined project value of over £3.8m; solidifying a fantastic start to the year and vital towards reaching one of this year’s primary aims to further expand out across the North West.
Not only that, but we’re hoping to secure even more projects in these areas and are in progressive talks with various clients regarding potential others around Yorkshire and Merseyside too, up to a current value of £5.2m.

New project management and estimating software
As a company, we’re committed to developing and enhancing our services offered to all of our clients, regardless of their project requirements. In order to do so, we’ve invested heavily in new project management software that enables clients to fully monitor, track, and manage their projects in one place, anytime, anywhere.
Thanks to Buildertrend, it’s never been easier for clients to communicate with us and stay updated with their project’s timeline, potential variations, and monitor budgets and payments. Read more on how we project manage.
Our new estimating software, Building Works, allows for the production of a detailed Bill of Quantities, providing clients with a speedy, detailed, and professional breakdown of costs. This has proven to be pivotal in securing large-scale and commercial projects and remains a great tool to help value engineer proposals to meet the client’s budget.
Vehicles, staff, offices, and training
More projects need more manpower! In the office, we have expanded and introduced more experienced staff whose roles are to ensure the pre-sale experience is as seamless, courteous, and as professional as possible. From receiving the initial enquiry, right through to project completion, our adept members of staff ensure nothing gets missed and only the best service is offered.
On site, we have grown our team of skilful and accomplished site supervisors to manage a growing list of dedicated projects and a growing team of proficient trades and subcontractors.
We’re also providing our members of staff with free training and courses across the next few months to further enhance their expertise and to increase the value of our services to our clients.

Property investment and design & build projects
One of our key targets in 2021 is to really focus on becoming a recommended, preferred, and trusted contractor when tendering for development works on property investment projects and clients looking for full turnkey packages.
Thanks to our experience in the property investment industry (see McNeill Portman Group), we’ve gained immeasurable knowledge of what makes a profitable and worthwhile investment. We understand how important it is, from an investor’s point of view, for the development stage of a project to be conducted on time, within budget, and to a high standard expected for that type of project.
